01 · DEFINITIONWhat Hard Assets means
Hard assets are physical assets with value of their own: precious metals, gemstones, real estate, land, in some cases art. They do not depend on a promise from a bank, a government or a company.
That is the point. A bank balance is a claim against the bank. A bond is a claim against the issuer. A gold coin in your hand is a claim against nobody.
In Flag Theory 3.0, hard assets belong to the third core mantra: decentralise your wealth and become your own bank. Together with Bitcoin they form the bank-independent foundation that survives bail-ins, capital controls and a CBDC.
The rules that matter: hold them outside the banking system, ideally outside your home country, and in a jurisdiction that respects private property. Vaults in Singapore or Switzerland, a duty-free storage facility, real estate in Panama or Paraguay.
Hard assets do not produce cash flow on their own. They protect purchasing power and give you options in a crisis. Income comes from your business, from dividends and from Web 3.0.
Which share of your wealth belongs in hard assets depends on your situation, your risk tolerance and your time horizon. We look at that together, without dogma.
