How long does it take to obtain Grenada citizenship by investment?
The processing time is typically up to 8 months from the submission of a complete application. The majority of this time is dedicated to the due diligence review, during which financial background, documentation, and family background are thoroughly verified.
Citizenship is granted fully remotely and without any residency or physical presence requirement, following the successful completion of the due diligence process and confirmation of the required investment.
What investment option is available?
To obtain citizenship, you make a non-refundable contribution starting from USD 235,000 to the National Transformation Fund (NTF). The fund supports education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
The total cost varies with the number of applicants: the base amount covers up to four persons, and from the fifth person onwards USD 25,000 is added per person. A parent or grandparent aged 55 or younger adds USD 50,000, a sibling adds USD 75,000.
In addition, government fees and due diligence costs apply. The exact amount depends on the family composition and the age of the accompanying applicants.

Who qualifies as the main applicant in the CBI program?
Requirements for the main applicant in the Grenada CBI program:

Can family members be included in the same application?
The following family members can be included in the application:
Spouse of the main applicant
Children under 18 years of age
Children from 18 to under 30 years of age, provided they are supported by the main applicant or spouse. An education requirement and an unmarried requirement no longer apply since 2019.
Children aged 18 and over with a physical or mental disability, with no age limit, when they live with the main applicant and are fully supported
Parents and grandparents of the main applicant or spouse at any age, provided they are fully supported
Siblings of the main applicant or spouse from age 18, single and childless, with no upper age limit

Do I need to travel to Grenada in person?
No, a trip to Grenada is not required for the application. The entire process can be handled completely remotely and digitally, including the interview and passport delivery.
Do I have to live in Grenada to obtain citizenship?
No, there is currently no residency requirement, neither before nor after naturalisation. Citizenship can be acquired entirely without physical presence in the country. Since July 2026 the Parliament of Grenada has been considering an amendment that would require, after naturalisation, five days of presence per person within the first twelve months and thirty days in total within five years. The thirty days may be covered jointly by the main applicant and the dependants named in the application; only the five days in the first year apply to each person individually. The draft provides for exemptions where substantial economic, social or family ties exist, and in humanitarian cases. This amendment is not yet in force, it takes effect only once it is published in the Gazette. The draft expressly allows the rule to be applied to applications already pending, at the minister's discretion. Filing earlier therefore does not reliably exempt anyone. How exactly does the application process work?
Together with GoodbyeMatrix you compile your documents, we submit the complete application to the Investment Migration Authority Grenada, you go through the due diligence review including the interview, and you make the contribution after approval. You then receive your certificate of naturalization and your Grenadian passport.
How long is the passport valid?
The passport is valid for 10 years, after which a new one is issued. No personal appearance is necessary for the renewal either.
Can I submit the application directly to the government?
No. The government of Grenada does not accept direct applications. Applications run exclusively through an accredited and authorized agent. We handle the entire application process for you - efficiently, legally secure, and with personalized support.
Is the application form available online?
No. The official application forms are not available for public download. They are submitted exclusively through registered agents to the Investment Migration Authority Grenada.
Are there excluded nationalities in the CBI program?
Yes. For reasons of national security and public order, Grenada currently does not accept applications from nationals of the following countries:
Afghanistan
Belarus
Iran
North Korea
Russia
Sudan
Yemen
The restriction applies not only to current nationality but also to a place of birth in one of these countries. Every case is reviewed individually.

Can I hold multiple citizenships in addition to Grenada citizenship?
Grenada permits the unrestricted retention of existing citizenships in accordance with the Citizenship Act No. 12 of 1976.
Important: you should also check the legal rules of your country of origin:
Germany: multiple citizenship is permitted without restriction.
Switzerland: multiple citizenship is permitted without restriction.
Austria: a retention permit is required - without it you automatically lose Austrian citizenship when acquiring a new one.
Can I pass my citizenship on to my children and future generations?
Yes, Grenadian citizenship can be passed down to subsequent generations permanently and without restriction.
Children born after the acquisition of citizenship receive it automatically by descent.
Currently there is no residency requirement to maintain citizenship. An amendment to this effect is under consideration but not yet in force.
The transfer is possible for all future generations, provided the birth is officially registered.
