Visa Run

Leaving a country briefly to re-enter on a fresh tourist visa or entry stamp. A tolerated habit in some countries, a ban risk in others, and never a residency strategy.

01 · DEFINITIONWhat Visa Run means

A visa run is the old nomad trick. Your tourist stay is about to expire, you cross the border, and you come back the next day with a fresh entry stamp.

For years this worked in Thailand, Malaysia, Georgia and half of Latin America. Some countries still tolerate it. Others count your days over a rolling year and refuse entry once you look like a resident on a tourist visa.

The bigger problem is not immigration. It is everything else. Without a residency you have no tax number, no proof of address, no Tax Residency Certificate. Banks and brokers close the door, and your home country keeps you as tax resident because you have no new one.

That is why Flag Theory 3.0 replaces the visa run with a proper setup: a Compliance Residency that gives you papers, plus the three-base strategy of living as a guest in the countries you like, within their tourist limits.

Visa runs are fine for a year of travel. They are not a plan for wealth, banking or a family.
