What makes this program stand out

The Armenia Digital Nomad Visa is a residency permit designed for remote workers who earn income from employment or business activities conducted outside Armenia. The program targets individuals who work remotely for foreign employers or operate location-independent businesses while residing in the country. Applicants must be over 18 years old and employed outside Armenia to qualify.

The visa requires several core documents and conditions. Applicants must provide proof of remote work demonstrating their employment or business relationship with entities outside the country. They must hold valid health insurance coverage for the duration of their stay. A clean criminal record is mandatory, applicants cannot have disqualifying criminal history.

Dependents may be included in the application. Family members can apply alongside the primary applicant and receive authorization to reside in Armenia under the same visa framework.

What you need to qualify

Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Employment or business activity must originate outside Armenia. Remote work for foreign employers or self-employment through international clients qualifies.

Proof of remote work is mandatory. You must document your employment relationship or business operations outside the country. This includes contracts, client agreements, or employer verification demonstrating active work arrangements.

Health insurance valid for the duration of your intended stay is required. Coverage must remain active throughout your residency period in Armenia.

A clean criminal record is non-negotiable. You cannot hold disqualifying criminal history. Background verification confirms eligibility before approval.

Proof of solvency must be submitted. You must demonstrate sufficient financial resources to support yourself during your stay in the country.

Dependents can join your application. Visa fees scale based on household composition:

  • Single applicant: USD $1,500
  • Couple (applicant + one dependent): USD $2,000
  • Family (applicant + up to three dependents): USD $3,000
  • Each additional family member: USD $650

All documentation must be submitted together. Missing elements halt processing. Completeness at submission accelerates approval timelines.

Which fees you should expect

The Armenia Digital Nomad Visa charges a single application fee based on household composition. Fees are non-refundable and cover the visa issuance process.

  • Single applicant: USD $1,500
  • Applicant with one dependent: USD $2,000
  • Applicant with up to three dependents: USD $3,000
  • Each additional family member beyond three: USD $650

All dependents must be included in a single application for the discounted household rate. Adding dependents after initial approval requires separate processing and payment for each additional family member at the USD $650 rate.

How to prove your financial means

You must demonstrate financial solvency to qualify for the Armenia Digital Nomad Visa. This proves you have sufficient income to support yourself during your stay.

Proof of solvency is established through documentation of remote work employment. You need to show that you earn income from work conducted outside of Armenia.

Acceptable proof formats include employment contracts, client agreements, or income statements from your remote employer or business. Documentation should clearly establish your current employment status and ongoing income stream.

Your proof must demonstrate that your employment is genuinely remote, work performed for a foreign employer or client, not a position based in Armenia. The documentation should cover your actual work arrangements and compensation structure.

Find out which combination of residency, citizenship & structure actually fits your life

Most people live where they were born. Not where it makes strategic sense. They choose a country. Sovereign individuals build a setup.

A strong international setup considers:

  • tax systems
  • mobility
  • optionality
  • long-term security
  • a Plan B citizenship

Not just a visa.

In the strategy call, we evaluate which residency programs make strategic sense - and which ones could limit you long-term, create unnecessary obligations, or lead to avoidable tax exposure.

Build an international setup that gives you options - not dependencies.
