What makes this program stand out

The Brazil Digital Nomad Visa is a residency program designed specifically for remote workers. It enables location-independent professionals to live and work legally in Brazil while earning income from sources outside the country. The program targets individuals who operate remotely for foreign employers or manage their own online businesses.

Qualification is straightforward and income-based. Applicants must demonstrate a minimum monthly income of US$1,500. Alternatively, they can satisfy the requirement by showing US$18,000 in savings. This dual-threshold structure accommodates both consistent earners and those with variable income streams who maintain capital reserves.

The visa provides legal residency status for remote workers. It allows them to establish themselves in Brazil without requiring local employment or business registration. The program recognizes the growing class of digitally mobile professionals and offers them a formal pathway to reside in the country while continuing their international work arrangements.

What level of income you need to show

The Brazil Digital Nomad Visa requires a minimum monthly income of US$1,500 from remote work or self-employment activities conducted outside Brazil.

You must demonstrate this income through documentation provided to Brazilian immigration authorities. Bank statements, invoices, contracts with foreign clients, or employer letters confirming your remote work arrangement serve as acceptable proof.

Income must originate from sources outside Brazil. Work performed for Brazilian employers or clients does not qualify under this visa category.

Find out which combination of residency, citizenship & structure actually fits your life

Most people live where they were born. Not where it makes strategic sense. They choose a country. Sovereign individuals build a setup.

A strong international setup considers:

  • tax systems
  • mobility
  • optionality
  • long-term security
  • a Plan B citizenship

Not just a visa.

In the strategy call, we evaluate which residency programs make strategic sense - and which ones could limit you long-term, create unnecessary obligations, or lead to avoidable tax exposure.

Build an international setup that gives you options - not dependencies.
