Croatia's Digital Nomad Visa permits foreign nationals to reside in the country while working remotely for employers or clients based outside Croatia. The program is designed specifically for location-independent professionals who do not need employment within the Croatian market. Applicants must demonstrate that they perform their work remotely and that their income originates from sources external to Croatia.
Qualification is based on proof of remote employment or business activity combined with financial stability. The Croatian authorities require either a minimum monthly income of EUR 2,359 or, as an alternative, total savings of at least EUR 30,471. One of these two thresholds must be met to satisfy the financial requirement. Documentation proving the nature and continuity of remote work is a core component of the application process.
Once approved, visa holders gain the right to live and work remotely from Croatian territory. They are also eligible to open a national bank account in Croatia. The visa does not authorize employment with Croatian companies or direct provision of services to clients within the Croatian domestic market. The structure is straightforward: you prove remote income or sufficient savings, you prove the work is performed remotely, and you receive legal residence status for the duration of the visa validity.
The monthly income requirement is EUR 2,359. This must be demonstrable, recurring income from remote work or a self-owned business.
You must provide proof of stable income through recent bank statements, contracts, or tax documentation. The income should be traceable and consistent over the preceding months.
Alternatively, you may satisfy the requirement with EUR 30,471 in savings instead of monthly income, provided you can document the funds and their origin.
Most people live where they were born. Not where it makes strategic sense. They choose a country. Sovereign individuals build a setup.
A strong international setup considers:
Not just a visa.
In the strategy call, we evaluate which residency programs make strategic sense - and which ones could limit you long-term, create unnecessary obligations, or lead to avoidable tax exposure.
Build an international setup that gives you options - not dependencies.
